Long ago this boy obtained a degree in civil engineering but then went on to "retire" at age 23. The land called, giving me a vital chance to work with my hands and gain competence in many practical ways. Swinging a hammer is as much a part of who I am as the apple trees and healing plants that make up our farm. Helping neighbors shape and achieve a delightful place on this good earth suits how I craft an honest living in this North Country of ours.
